ABOUT THE BEER & ITS IMPACT:
Launching summer 2024, this beer directly benefits journalism and truth telling in North Carolina. Heading into a big election year, the truth feels more important than ever – and it’s getting harder and harder to parse.
In response, we did the one thing we do best: brew beer. Thus, we brewed Tell the Truth, a tasty Kölsch with notes of lemon peel, melon, and biscuit, in partnership with our friends at The Assembly.
You get to drink this delicious beer and we get to help fund the great work at The Assembly – hiring more truth tellers reporting straight-forward news that actually informs.

The Assembly launched in February 2021 with a focus on interesting and nuanced journalism about our state. They tell big stories, and give their journalists space to be ambitious. They want their work to surprise, inform, and leave you with a better understanding. North Carolina deserves big-swing reporting, right here in our own backyard.
The dollars (and cents) that come from Tell the Truth will support journalists throughout our state, funding paid internships and expanded coverage.
